Gerbera seeds

I have gerbera flowers in my flower pot. Can I take out it's seeds from the flower? If yes, how? And for how long can I store them before planting?
I googled the subject, but most of the sites say about germination.

Thank you in advance.

I tried to take Gerbera seeds once a long while ago, it seemed that only one or two in a head are actually fertile seeds, so you need to sort them out,  the ones I did try didn’t germinate, could be me but I’m usually good with seeds, not so with these.
Picture shows a mixture of the seed, both on the same head.
i found the same with Knautia, only got a couple of plants from saved seeds.

edited to add, I’ve just looked on amazon and seems not many people have had any luck with Gerbera seeds, one blamed the company, I’ve defended them there as Seekay are a good company, some silly person wrote a false review and said they had ‘healthy strong plants’  in just 2 weeks, also ridiculous, Gerbera is something I would buy a plant of if I really wanted them.
