Identification of self seeded plant- weed or baby black current bush??

hi! I’m clearing out my spent  sweet peas and found this- anyone have any ideas? Could it be a baby black current bush?

Thanks! Pics to follow : )

  • It's one of the nightshades, possibly Solanum nigrum (black nightshade.)  A fairly common weed with poisonous berries, so don't eat them.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

  • Oh!!!! Thanks so much for identifying! I haven’t ever seen it here before. I’ve also had 3-5 bindweed seedlings - thankfully they’ve not returned but maybe due to the windier weather? Seems like it’s been windier more often here in s.e London.

    thanks again! : )
