Jasmine variety

Can anyone tell me what this jasmine variety is ? Just flowered in past few weeks, primrose coloured flowers and beautiful fragrance. Wild and untidy,so need to cut back. Cut back 2017 and didn't flower last year. When should I cut back ?

    Based on your description and the above photo, take a look at Jasminum Officinale 'Devon Cream'.

    With these climbing shrubs, once they have matured to the frame-work you want them to grow on, it's just a case of thinning excess growth and branches. You can prune them now.
