Apple tree leaf problems

Hi,

I bought this cox orange pippin at the start of summer, potted it up with john innes no. 3 mix, and have also added in some vitax q4 pellets and occasionally q4 liquid feed, I keep it regularly watered too. The tree is not looking too happy at the moment, the top has some aphids but all the leaves are looking unhappy, some are yellow and some are speckled. Please help!

    I suspect that is simply a sign that the tree is beginning to shut down for autumn. Feeding should cease and for the next few weeks compost should remain moist but not wet. During winter the tree will not require watering until the buds begin to swell in the spring.
