We are visiting my parents in Dorset for the bank holiday and found this slow worm in their garden.

Lovely wish we had them in our garden, have a large compost heap and plenty of natural areas, under trees, but they have deserted us.

Fantastic. We don't get them in Cheshire but luckily I have family in Dorset which seems to be the place for them!!

Ready for her 'close-up'...A real stunner seen during a forest walk in Austria.

My partner got involved in an adder count this year, so we've been going up to our local nature reserve and recording sightings of snakes and slow worms every couple of weeks.
It seems we've still got plenty in glos
