    Second one is berberis thunbergii atropurpureum I think. I can see some thorns.

    I'd go with cotinus, the leaves are too big for berberis,  plus the seedheads.  I'm forever finding them in my garden from my neighbour's shrub  :)

    Not Berberis, I agree it is Cotinus.
