Mixed Allium bulbs identification?

AstroAstro Posts: 407
Bought a pack of 24 mixed Allium bulbs from Wilko's the other day, they are aflatunese, christophii and purple sensation. Is there a way to tell them apart but from assuming bigger bulb means bigger variety? I assume purple sensation are the biggest bulb and christophii the smallest but not sure.
The only other difference between bulbs is some having paler/darker skins.

are they not in separate bags inside ? seems a silly thing to do . Christophii are probably the biggest of the three but you will never really know until they flower

No they are bundled together, I didn't consider I'd not be able to tell them apart. I'd have thought Christophii would be the smallest...oh. I might not be able to use them in the border this year , perhaps I'll grow them in pots and then tag them.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw the bag, I was planning to buy some - but yes it's a shame that you can't tell them apart.

I got a refund on them and bought purple sensation and mattiola blue in separate packets. The lady that served also thought mixing them was an odd choice.
