Thank you. I am not experienced with garden plants. I've just googled on wind and passion flower and I think you're right - it's probably wind scorch. The plant is placed in the part of the garden where it gets most sun, but that means it's not against a wall and we have had a lot of wind. Any tips from experienced passion flower growers would be welcome. Thank you.
Your pot could be too small . This plant in the right conditions will romp away . I have learned this from experience having planted one in the wrong conditions many years ago . I purchased one at the beginning of the growing season .The pot that I planted it in is three feet deep and by twenty inches in diameter . I have it up against my cat run which has wire grills . It is west facing .I used some horticultural grit about three inches deep for drainage at the bottom and a mixture of garden compost and a good multipurpose compost mix .About one third garden compost to two thirds multipurpose compost .Very pleased with the results . I haven’t any dead leaves , the blossoms are beautiful and the plant is now about eighteen inches wide and has grown to the top of my cat run and is now spreading over the top . Oh I forgot , I put a handful FBB in the compost mix and I feed the plant once a week . Sorry to be so long winded . I hope this is useful to you .
Thank you very much for that - long winded is great as I desperately don't want this plant to die. I've read your post out to my husband and we'll follow your advice
I had the same problem last year and found that I had left one of the ties on from when it was purchased and it was strangling the growth above just that part of the plant.
