Haworthia,can I pot up this offshoot?

I have this Haworthia mirabilis v.paradoxa which sent out what I thought was a flower spike.
Instead it seems to be a small plant!
Can this be potted up and is this it's way of propagating itself?

    That's so weird. I've got a couple of haworthia flowering at the moment but just normal flowers. I wonder if this is some kind of deformity or if it works like a strawberry runner? I'd be tempted to leave it attached until the pup gets bigger and then bend it down into another pot while still attached. Smaller pups seem to take forever to root.

    This is a very slow growing Haworthia and I had assumed when the spike shot up it was flowering as my other haworthias were.
    Will try the 'strawberry runner' method and see what happens!

    Has anything happened with this little runner? I found some similar shoots on a saxifrage flower spike. It's another plant that normally offsets at the base too.

    As yet I have done nothing,it seems to have come to a standstill growth wise.
    May do something soon!

    Just potted up with a couple of hair grips to hold down the shoot.
    Now just have to wait and see............!
