Pruning boxleaf honeysuckle

hi, I’ve been asked to cut back this boxleaf honeysuckle hedge and it needs cutting right back to this old wood. Will it regrown ok from this?!

  • A bit late to ask now 🤣 as far as I know they do grow back from wood...unlike conifers.

    It'll look truly dreadful for a couple of weeks - then it'll be full-on teenage-growth-spurt. That's what mine does anyways🙂

    Yeah, I know! A moment of panic when I saw what was underneath 😂 it’s all done and doesn’t look too bad now. Certainly better than what it was anyway!
