Something is scraping at my Roses.

Hi for the first time I'm growing roses in pots.  ( Chandos beauty and Lady Emma Hamilton)

Roses are doing fantastic in large pots but I've noticed in the last few days something has been scraping around the compost at the surface. ( do you think it could be blackbirds /sparrows as I do have bird feeders in my garden.

It's hard to tell looking on the photo.

    It could be, mooota, I’ve had birds in my pots throwing earth about as they search for grubs! I top my soil levels up every so often.

    yes I'm throwing in a couple of handfuls just to top it up.

    Could be I've seen a few grey squirrels going about.
