What's eating my radishes?

They are in pots with copper tape, and I'm trying to protect from birds with fleece

    Slugs or tiny snails.

  • They were my first thought, but the chard in the same containers is demolished by slugs in the ground, but untouched there! Is there a better way to keep the plants safe?

You could go out with a torch at night and catch them in the act. Remove, kill then add to your compost bins, then their life hasn’t been in vain,😄

Well beer traps achieved nothing here adn i'm not sure i could actively kill them. If I didn't kill them they'd just come back.  Perhaps i'm not meant to grow radishes
  • For once, it's not slugs. Small cabbage white caterpillars. it

Brilliant, you’ve found them,  the cabbage white are having a lovely time at the moment, 🙂 now you can remove them and put them out for the birds.

  • Ha, yes, I put them on the bird table and it looks like someone has had a feast!
