Divide agapanthus

Hi all
Would it be ok to divide agapanthus now or should I wait until autumn. They have been in same planter for years fine and this year lots of healthy growth but no flowers so I'm thinking it's time to thin them out? Any advice appreciated. Thank you

    keep it watered and FED ( V important ) and split it in winter when it's dormant

    Last time I fed it was spring. I'll give it more feed and wait. Thank you 😊

    they need to be fed during and AFTER they flower to set up buds for next year.
