Mushrooms growing in the lawn

Hi

My Dad has mushrooms growing in a circle on the lawn, any ideas how you would get rid of these organically if possible?

Thank you

They’re just the fruiting bodies of the mycelium that is in almost all the soil beneath our feet, busily converting decaying plant matter into a form which can be accessed by the roots of our plants.

Without the fungi we wouldn’t have gardens.

The fungi on your father’s lawn have appeared because the warm damp weather has triggered their reproductive behaviour which won’t last for long.

I enjoy their appearance as part of Nature’s wonderful display ..  but if he doesn’t like them just knock them over with a broom and sweep them up and put them on the compost heap.

    😊
