Deep red or salmon pink antirrhinum?

BenCottoBenCotto Posts: 4,494
I bought deep red antirrhinums from Chiltern seeds to construct a bed entirely of deep red and purple blooms. The result is not what I anticipated, nor one that I much like.

Nearly a week ago I wrote to Chiltern seeds asking if anyone else had encountered this mislabelling. An apology would have been nice, and even a refund of the £1.99 cost as I did not expect them to pay for the potting compost, the electricity to grow them on, or my time in nurturing them but, alas, silence was the stern reply. Chiltern seeds have now lost my custom.

That's disappointing to say the least @Picidae. I have found them to be very helpful in the past. Did you go through the customer feedback form on the website?

I bought red astrantia seed from them  which came out white. I now use seedaholic which were very good when I couldn't get a batch of seed to germinate they sent me another packet.

An update - Chiltern Seeds took their time to reply but have certainly vindicated themselves. An enquiry, an apology, a replacement packet of seeds and a £5 voucher. Hats off to them.
