Delphinium seed ripening/collection and cutting back for more blooms

In order to get more blooms from the delphinium, I understand the plant needs to be cut back in order to re-bloom in 4-6 weeks. Can I dry these green seed heads, or do they need to dry on the plant in order to fully develop the seeds? I would love to grow more and would hate to waste the seeds, though we still want to enjoy the ones we have for the rest of summer.

They have to dry on the plant, they will black and brittle then you can collect them.
For what you get from a second bloom, I don’t think they’re worth it. I’d rather cut them down and plant something else in the space.
I’ve always got more plants ready to go in.
