Moving Flowering Raspberry Plants

NewBoy2NewBoy2 Posts: 1,813
I have a clump of rasperberry canes some of which are flowering and i would like to move a few from the garden to the allotment

? Has anyone moved them when in flower.

I realise I can "try a few " but would really appreciate the wisdom of the members

On the basis that whenever I move a plant, I cut it back in order to give it a fighting chance of establishing without the added burden of feeding a whole lot of foliage and flowers, you can move anything you want at any time of year. I think you would have to say goodbye to a crop of raspberries for this season but the plants will be well bedded in for next year.
