When to divide?

Hi. This plant, I think an achillea? has flopped; believe should’ve staked earlier. It’s also spread at the base and it looks like some new growth is coming up. Still flowering so guess should leave for now but When should I look at lifting/ dividing if at all? Thanks.

Those are lovely! Yes, they do flop and they do spread but you can divide in spring or autumn. I'm afraid that if they are happy - and yours obviously are - they can be a bit invasive.
  • I dead-headed my Achillea this morning, there is plenty of new growth, and buds showing now. I tend to lift and divide in early Spring as I like to leave some mature seed heads for the birds during Winter.
