Good morning :)
Can anyone tell me what this plant is please? bought from B&Q without a label, she let me have it for £4 as she didn't know what it was either but I suspect it should have cost quite a bit more!

Looks like a Coleus. A non hardy plant in UK.
How can you lie there and think of England
When you don't even know who's in the team

I agree. l think the name has changed to Pletranthus or Solenostemon. So much easier to pronounce - not !

Is it an outdoor plant? will it die outside over winter?!

It will die outside. Easy to propagate for next year.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

Frost will kill it. Bring it indoors in the autumn and take lots of cuttings from it ... they strike easily in a jar of water ... pot them up and grow them on a windowsill over the winter, pinching the growing tips out to encourage lots of bushy growth, and you’ll have lots more ... they never look as good in their second year so throw the original away and use the replacements.

They also make much better bushier plants if you pinch the rather insignificant flowers out.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
