Can anyone identify these bees we have found

We have found this bees nest in a compost heap, can anyone tell us what they are. They appear to be unaggressive.

I think if they're in your compost bin, they are a type of bumblebee (as opposed to honeybees), but which one, can't help, sorry.

This might be a moss carder bee on account of the colour of the wings - see

I am sorry but the other site listed above is not much use.
