Even tho I suggested Ivy Gold Heart, I think it is often a bad idea to create permanent planting simply to sell a house - particularly in a difficult situation such as trying to hide an ugly wall.
More often than not, the next owner will completely re vamp the garden anyway so covering your eyesore of a wall can be done cheaply if you tackle it in the right way.
Little point in expending money on permanent planting when you don't intend to stay and enjoy the fruits of your labour.

The quickest plant I’ve ever had to climb or grow is Solanum  Crispum Glasnevin, I bought one from Morrison about £1,99, it grew so big even though I cut it back to the ground every Spring, I eventually took it out.
you will need to supply some support for it , wires on the wall and tie it in, it doesn’t self cling, it does have very strong branches so not much support needed,  its very pretty and has a long flowering period.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
