Please help id this plant

hi,  I’m a long time lurker who has finally registered as I’m stumped on what this flower or plant is that i’ve grown - the single pink one. Hope someone can enlighten me.

    I think your mystery flower might be a godetia.

    Hi Kitty 2, thanks for the welcome and even more so the identification, well done you! As soon as you said that, I remembered I had some of those seed packets that I threw around willy nilly as they were out of date. They sound lovely and I thought the flowers looked like hibiscus but now more like tropical poppies. Too pretty to pick for my vase as I want them to set seed later?

    Yes they are very pretty and very easy to grow.
    You could still pick some and just leave a couple of stems to set seed.
    They are hardy annuals and I've had them pop up unexpectedly the following year, when I've forgotten to pick the dry seed heads in time 😆.

    I may have to move the whole plant pot to a prepared sunny bed so that it can receive the seed heads later on and see how much it flowers for now  :)
