Help with my Banana Plants

Hi there
Could anyone please tell me what is happening to my banana plants? I noticed this a couple of weeks ago and it seems to be getting worse :(
I am growing a few of these and they are approx 4ft to 5ft now and one or two look as though they are going the same way. Any help would be much appreciated, Many thanks

they look fine to me. Are they indoors?
    Devon.
  • Hi. Thanks for your quick reply
yes they are indoors. I'm concerned about the black on the edges
and the split, they were fully green a short while ago

tbh does it really matter, we can't grow bananas in a UK climate anyway. They will never produce fruit. There's a guy here who has been trying for 20 years. I went to "the biggest hydroponic retailer in Europe" this year who had a heated greenhouse to grow a banana. Now to be fair I think they could have achieved it - if they hadn't decided to build their greenhouse in the shade - but yeah no bananas there either.

Don’t think most folk in the UK grow them for their fruit 🤣
They’re fantastic specimen foliage plants to add height and structure to a border or as a focal point on a terrace. 😎
