    That looks like Edgeworthia Chrysantha, Chinese Paper Bush.

    thank you Hostafan1, but I think Borderline is right after checking it online, I inherited the garden from my dad and I'm still trying to get to grips with it and loving every minute.

    Flower buds for spring 2020 will be forming very soon.
