Poor Alec Red Rose

could anyone tell me if rabbits eat roses?
We planted the above rose a month ago and it has been stripped of all leaves.Just moved it into a pot until we rabbit proof common side fencing over the winter.

    I know it’s not snail or slugs or leaf cutting bees.Thanks AnniD.It can spend until next Spring in a pot so it can recover.
