Dumb question about wallflowers

So I planted some wallflowers last autumn and sometime over winter they got munched by the deer.

They still produced some flowers but not in abundance.  Right now the plants are still looking good.  A little woody at the base but otherwise fine.

when are wallflowers normally supposed to die back?  Because I lost flowers this year is there a chance they will carry on through to next spring?

There is a chance that they will carry through until spring. Mine often last into the following year if your don't let them set seed.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    Thanks B-L

I may as well stick with them then and hope the deer don’t get the again this time!
