Deadly Nightshade?

Any idea if this is deadly nightshade? First year I have noticed this plant on the garden. Last winter it started to grow very tall and now is developing some purple flowers.

Thank you!

  • Definitely not Atropa Belladonna, what it is I'm not sure, looks like a Solanum. Someone else may be able to tell you what it is.

Looks a bit like the Blue Potato Bush, Lycianthus Rantonnetii. My mum had one growing in a pot. They are not all that hardy. Best to see the flowers or more of the bush to be sure.

I managed to take some more pictures. Hopefully the leaves are more revealing now?
