have a display of lillies in a container which have recently flowered. I have discovered strange dark nodules at the nodes between the leaves on the stems. Are they seed pods, because I would have thought the seeds would develop in the pods on top of the stems, left after flowering had I not removed them ?

@Lou. You would be better posting this as a separate question.
However those a bulbils. Some types of lilies develop these. Grow them on like seeds and you will have hundreds of lilies. They do take a few years though.
Thankyou so much. Will sow them in a tray and leave them labelled, in a sheltered part of the garden till I see some life. I have some similar bulbils on my Schubertii alliums. Will try them too. Thanks again. 😁
