What is this on my lily?!

Just noticed these brown blobs on my lily.  At first i thought they were poop of some sort but they are underneath the leaves too. I've taken as close a photo as possible hopefully someone can help? Many thanks

    They are lily beetle larvae   :(

    I am not 100% sure to be honest,  but l don't think so.

    Yuck Lilly beetles larva (and yes they are living in their own poop!). If you can bear it scrape off and squish before anything else gets infected. They have not affected my cannas.
    Marne la vallée, basically just outside Paris 🇫🇷, but definitely Scottish at heart.

    They are disgusting. To be honest I've never been a big fan of lilies at all but we inherited them in pots (clearly along with the pests!). Been battling them and loosing ever since. Just read the rhs advice, thank you @AnniD. I'm too squeamish to squish @Jacquimcmahon. Think I'm going to get rid. I'm off to Tatton park flower show so I'm sure I'll find a beautiful replacement. Thanks again
