Problem with cordyline

We have a Cordyline plant in our garden,we have had it for about 10 years now.Over the past few weeks it has shown another growth coming from it,can you let me know what it is

    If it's the one on your other thread, they are flower spikes.
    Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
