Sweet Peas - Short Stems?

bobloesbobloes Posts: 134
Morning All,

My sweet peas are/were doing OK but in common with previous years they start off with long stems, say 6 inches (15cm) and then very quickly revert to stems about half that size.  Aroma is still as expected and if I keep cutting they last as expected.  Is this size reduction normal or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks

Bob

Same thing with me, bobloes. If you’re doing something wrong then we’re in this together.

The stems get shorter if they're short of water. That might be it.

Perfectly normal for them to shorten as the season progresses  :)
