Looks like Hydrangea petiolaris to me ... climbing Hydrangea large panicles of foamy white flowers in summer and dramatic dark tracery of stems in the winter.
Great for small birds (robins and wrens etc) they love seeking out little insects in the flaking bark and they build their nests in amongst the dark foliage.
I’m under pressure from my other half to remove it.
As you can see from the picture below, it climbs the wall and damages the paintwork. It also is quite hard to control as it is very mature. It has been cut back many times but wants to get bigger!
It runs alongside the walkway which runs along side the side of our house.
Agree with others....Hydrangea anomala subsp petiolaris.
I can see your problem. I too would be very concerned to have that growing up my home. I would definitely consider removing it completely before it gets even larger and damages you render.
They attach with aerial roots.see link below. If you pull it off you may do damage. I suggest cutting it at ground level...wait for whole plant to die...roots will shrivel...only when very very dead/brown/shrivelled try removing from the wall.
