Help with sick plant

Anyone an idea of what the issue is?

Tried watering more and less, tried more and less sun and been feeding and nothing creates a healthy plant.

Had it for two years and the process is, centre of leaf gets brown spots, then the tip then the leaf dies.

Any help appreciated.

Has it ever been repotted since you bought it?
  • No actually. Do you think the original soil it is in could be damaging it?

I would get a much bigger pot, make sure it has drainage holes, and re-pot with fresh compost. When you water, put it in the sink, and using room temperature water, gently water until the water is starting to come out the bottom, then let it finish dripping before putting it back on the saucer/drip tray.  It is important not to let it sit in water.  Wait until the surface of the soil is dry before watering again, to avoid overwatering.

Regarding sun, I would put it somewhere bright but out of direct sunlight, to avoid leaf scorch.

Agree that it’s a good idea to see if improved food will help it.  Whilst it should never sit in water if your house is dry it can help to stand the plant in a tray of damp gravel to improve the humidity.  If none of these approaches help, then it is possibly a virus and nothing can be done.
