Did anyone else have the free seeds in magazine, and do these look OK to you? have loads more, shall I keep them as they are till autumn, then plant them out?? or re-pot when bigger and keep in greenhouse over winter.

They look great. I only planted mine last week so no sign off life yet.
Check the roots to see if they need moving to a larger pot and then move them up when they need it. I suspect that before the autumn you will need to re-pot them twice.
They will not need to go into the greenhouse for winter as they are completely hardy. Just leave them in their pots until you are ready to pot them out in the spring.
  • Thanks for that, will need lot of pots, ha ha my daughter has large garden so most will go to her.

I keep them in pots over winter, just on the shelves of a blowaway GH.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
