What's this plant?

I grew this climber from seed years ago believing it to be old man's beard.  To date it does not seem to have gone through puberty and has not had one beard.   I had a Google and the leaf shape seems entirely different to that of an old man's beard so I wonder if someone could advise?

    It does look like a clematis leaf (old man's beard) but it would be helpful to see more of the plant. Does it climb?

    It does climb although it isn't what I'd call a lush or speedy grower. I've had the plant 14 + years, grown from seed which did look like the whispy seed from old man's beard

    Does it flower?
    There are ashtrays of emulsion,
    for the fag ends of the aristocracy.
