    Thank you @nutcutlet - it is a striking plant, although I haven't noticed any insects on it so far.

    They usually get lots of bees on them.
    Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

    I will look out for the bees @Lyn, not noticed any yet although plenty of bees on other plants around the pond - for instance the sedums that are in full bright yellow flower and Geum Water Aviens (Rivale)
