Plant / weed ID

At the bottom of the plant there is a weed. I would like to know the name of the weed before I cut it away, so I know what to keep an eye out for in future. There was a hedge close to this spot previously so wonder if it is a hedge bramble.

    If it pricks your fingers when you grab it then it’s a Bramble, don’t cut if off, you need to dig out the root.
