Cannot ID this plant. Self-seeded in border; Small  purple/violet flowers, thin green leaves, long roots, tall green stems. Any ideas?

    THANKS, WOULD SEEM TO BE AS POSTED BUT FLOWER HEADS SEEM SHORT BUT WILL WAIT FOR GROWTH.

    I love this in the garden and saw a pink one under someone's hedge. So waiting for it to go to seed then I will try and raise some plants.

    They come in all sizes. It depends on the maturity of the plant. If it's in its second or third year everything will be bigger.

    The pink flowered form goes by the name ‘Canon Went’. They are equally delightful.
