Hubby is the potato fan and he's quite chuffed as he says they are great tasting.  He is looking forward to them cold with mixed herbs  in his pack up tomorrow

I got 1lb11oz from four plants in containers, though not sure what variety, so that sounds like a good harvest to me! @Flinster, mine exploded being boiled, but the exploded sour cream and spring onion top potato salad was really tasty!

Mmmmm not tried that, I have done crushed potatoes (they are self crushing lol!) with lots of olive oil, salt and chives..😁

Just pulled the next two Charlotte  @Flinster and @Guernsey Donkey2 and have 2lb 10oz of potatoes ( and that is from the darkest corner of the bed @Guernsey Donkey2) so they are doing well, but I have no idea if that is the usual amount to expect from this variety as never had it before. Anyone else grow them and can say if it's a usual amount to get?
  • The time to harvest potatoes depends on the maturation period of the potatoes you’re growing. There are three varieties you should know about: first earlies, second earlies, and maincrop. There are two main signs you can start harvesting potatoes: dying foliage and blooming flowers.
