Freezing cabbage

Morning All!

ive grown half a dozen or so greyhound cabbage which need harvesting. They haven’t hearted very well, but still good to eat. Does anyone freeze cabbage? Does it go mushy? I thought maybe blanch for a minute and the freeze?

It doesn't go mushy.  After you've blanched it, drain as much water off as you can, open freeze it and then put it in a bag. You will then be able to shake out what you want rather than have a clump. Shred or chop it up before you blanch it.

Should be enough. Up to 90secs max depending on size of bits and whether you include stalks or not.

Once you have drain them you should pat them dry so they don't form ice on them then open freeze and them once frozen you can bag them up.
