I have a hydrangea which is looking very sick. The leaves come out and then turn brown and either and die. No blooms. No other problems with any other plants nearby. Any advice would be gratefully received.
All the outside wood looks dead, no green there and hollow. You may as well cut those stalks back to the base. I would dig it up and check the roots, maybe plant it back somewhere else then make sure it has a bucketful of water every other day for the start.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
