Weeping birch - beetles

Hi.  I wonder if anyone could help us.  We have a weeping birch that is looking very sad, lots of leaves have browned and have fallen off and it is covered with these. Many thanks for any help, it would be greatly appreciated.

    That’s an immature ladybird pupating into an adult. Hurrah 😀 

    Whatevet is happening yo your tree (and it’s not unusual for birch trees to lose some leaves in the summer) it’s not the fault of the ladybirds. 

    Lucky you having a lot of them 👍

    Thank you so much for your reply, that is wonderful, I was slightly concerned in case we needed to worry about our other trees.

    Sounds as if you’re developing a nice ecosystem in the garden and the good guys are there to help you. 😊
