Hope someone can help I bought a tetrapanax plant a couple of month ago and it was growing nicely and all of a sudden the leaves had disappeared like something has had it

Have you got a photo? Does it look like it has been chewed by slugs? Do you have rabbits or deer in the area?

Either slugs, caterpillars or sawfly of some sort.  Definitely something small chewing in from the edge.
