Plant ID please

Hi all
Hoping you can help me again please. I have grown from seed quite a few Dahlias, and these are starting to bloom lovely (despite of my war with aphids!). The attached photos were potted up as Dahlias but they are nothing like my others. I have asked before and was told frost damage was making the leaves cabbage looking but new leaves are growing the same way and not had any frosts for quite a whileing Can you ID it for me please. I have previously cultivated, mistakenly, a fat hen weed which you guys and gals kindly identified for me...please don't tell me I've done it again! Haha! Thank you

As you grew them from seed, I would presume it to be a natural genetic mutation.  Another possibility is a viral disease.  Those are carried by thrips and aphids and may have affected it as a seedling.  For that reason I would separate it from other dahlias but (obviously like yourself) would be interested in seeing if it blooms in some fashion.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

Thank you for replying. I have 5 of them like this. Ill separate them as advised thank you. I am intrigued to see if they bloom. Even if the foliage is ugly! If anything, I'll post a picture on here. Thanks again @BobTheGardener. Strangely enough, these ones are the only ones the aphids are not bothering with that I can see. My other Dahlias are covered with them

  • I ended up keeping one of these plants and they seem to be Chinese asters? First bloom noticed this morning but didn't do well in all this wind and rain we have had. Hopefully get to see the next flower properly.
