Plum tree problems

Hi friends, went to my allotment today and noticed my plum tree has some issues.
some of the fruits are  yellows brown a bit scabby and very misshapen.....not all are like it but it seems a bit weird.
anyone got any answers or ideas please

    Yes that looks like pocket plum ... see my link above. 

    Also some aphid damage on the leaves.

    Thank you that's very helpful, I didn't open any of the plums so cannot say if they are hollow or not.
    i also have a lot of "normal" looking fruit on the tree..... was wondering if it might be like tomatoes, that split if dry then overwatered? It was very dry before the very wet weather.....
    would it be advisable to remove the tree and start again?
    my allotment neighbour has an apple tree that looks in a bad way, covered in black looking stuff...?rotten blossom/fruitlets? Could this be affecting my tree?
