powdery mildew

Hi all, I’ve two identical clematis that flowers June. Planted seven years ago. Cant remember the name of clematis, but in the last two yrs powdery mildew appears. It doesn’t stunt the growth, it’s massive and flowers year on year. I water regularly. Doesn’t matter if the weather is hot/sunny like last year or rainy, it’s still the same...see pictures. What are your thoughts and advice? Thank you 😊

    Thank you fairy
  • Powdery mildew is usually caused by something being too dry. The only way I remember this from sooty mould is that in bygone years soldiers needed to keep their musket powder dry. Sorry a bit of lateral thinking but that’s my brain.
  • Sorry solution is to water
