Hostas

I know this may well have been covered before but couldn't find an old thread to ask on.
I know you are supposed to split/move hostas spring/autumn but this problem has only just come up. An Iris has grown so big this year it is swomping a hosta leaving it little room to grow. Do I leave things and hope it survives to move later or do I risk moving it now. Thought I might ask @Hostafan1 as everyone seems to for hostas. Hope you can help.🙂

I move plants whenever I think it necessary, whatever time of the year, plenty of soil around and plenty of water on planting, they’re always fine.  Dig the new hole first and he won’t know he’s been moved.
