Sometimes the plan does work!

In the foreground, Phlomis italica (sub-shrub), Paeony 'Bowl of Beauty, above  Cheiranthus Bowles Mauve (wallflower), allium 'Christophii' and the yellow plant is Sisyrinchium striatum with Stipa gigantica (golden oat grass) in the top right background.

    Thanks folks. As you say, it's very satisfying when it all comes together. Doesn't always happen though!
