Is this a campion?

WoodsieWoodsie Posts: 58
This plant has appeared from a seed mix.  Currently, it’s approximately two feet high and has produced rather attractive pink / mauve flowers.  Could this be a variety of campion?  Any help appreciated ~ thank you.

Red campion is almost over now. Might it be a corncockle? Pretty colour!

    I think it’s a Corncockle, Agrostemma Githago.

Just remembered that they are poisonous...but not that I'd want to eat it! Apparently that is why they were eliminated from wheat fields as the bits got into the wheat for bread. However, they have been on my allotment for years without comment.
