Seed excitement
A few weeks ago I found, in separate places, two tiny folded scraps of paper with a bit of scrawl on them. One said 'lovely yellow Aquilegia', the other just 'hardy geranium'. I'd obviously grabbed some seeds at some point and used whatever I had to hand... then promptly forgot. I know the Aquilegia is from where my brother lives, but I've no recollection of the geranium at all. I suspect the scrap of paper had been tucked in that pot for a good few years. There were a few old seeds in each wrap.
Anyway, I sowed them. Nothing seemed to happen for ages, but now they're up! The two Aquilegia are *tiny*, but the true leaves are clearly Aquilegia :-).
And three of the four Geraniums have germinated too. I don't think I would have bothered to save them if they weren't a bit special, so I'm really excited to find out which kind they are.
